I have been sexually abused by my father throughout my childhood, up until the age of 15. Enough time has passed between then and now for me to come to terms with what happened to me. I don't think that victims with similar experiences to my own will ever be able to forget those times and the feelings associated with them, but we learn to cope and move on from it to the point where it's just a distant memory, only occasionally triggered by something in our day-to-day life, such as a smell or a song or something on TV. I hope that no one who watched my part on Fixers was affected negatively by anything that I said.
